One-Day Ride Adventure: Kovai Moto Tribe’s Journey Through Kotagiri, Coonoor, and Beyond
Our one-day ride to Kotagiri, Coonoor, Manjoor, and back to Coimbatore was nothing short of spectacular! Here’s a recap of our journey through these picturesque mountain trails, as we rode through misty hills, lush forests, and winding roads.
Early Start from Thudiyalur
We kicked off our ride at 6:00 am, engines roaring and spirits high, leaving Thudiyalur with a full day of adventure ahead. The morning air was crisp, and the roads were calm as we cruised through the quiet landscape, eager for what lay ahead.
Breakfast at Kotagiri
Our first stop was Kotagiri, where we took a break for breakfast. The cool mountain air combined with a warm meal set the perfect tone for the day. After refreshing ourselves, we geared up and hit the road again, heading toward Kodanadu View Point.
Bliss at Kodanadu View Point
With the weather on our side, the ride to Kodanadu View Point was absolutely mesmerizing. The view from the top was breathtaking, with rolling hills blanketed in mist and green valleys stretching as far as the eye could see. We spent about an hour here, soaking in the scenery, capturing the beauty around us, and feeling grateful for this motorcycling escape.
Lunch Break and Streamside Photography
After an enjoyable stop at Kodanadu, we circled back to Kotagiri for a quick lunch. Energized once again, we continued toward Coonoor, where we came across a small stream. It was a perfect spot for some photography—nature at its best, with flowing water, lush greenery, and the company of our bikes. We spent some time capturing moments, making memories, and enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the streamside.
Adventure Through Manjoor and Gedde
Leaving Coonoor, we headed toward Manjoor and Gedde. This part of the journey brought us through a series of adventurous hairpin bends—a thrill for any rider! The twists and turns added a new level of excitement to our ride as we navigated through challenging yet rewarding terrain. We took a short break at Gedde waterfall, feeling refreshed by the cool mist from the cascading water.
Final Stretch: Gedde to Karamadai via Mulli
The last leg of our ride took us from Gedde through Mulli and finally toward Karamadai. The scenic route, framed by dense forests and towering trees, made it a fitting end to our adventure-filled day. We reached Karamadai with smiles, full of stories and memories from a day well spent.
Wrapping Up
This one-day ride was an experience of a lifetime. The mix of beautiful landscapes, challenging roads, and great company made it all unforgettable.
